Yangon to Bagan Cycling Tour


 Day 1 : Yangon – Pyay

Activities : Explore Yangon or relaxing before moving to Pyay.

Meal : N/A

Itinerary : Welcome to Myanmar. Before setting off on your cycling journey, spend the morning exploring the city or relaxing before boarding the ’71 up’ train for the comfortable 5-6 hour journey to Pyay.
Overnight in Pyay

Day 2 : Pyay

Activities : Explore the Pyay area by cycling with markets and temples

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch

Itinerary : First day in Pyay, we will discover the area by cycling from a local market to museum, a stupa to temple. Then we cross the river to enjoy the views of Pyay before watching the sunset from Shwesandaw Pyay. Stay overnight in Pyay.

Day 3 : Pyay – Magway

Activities : Ride to Magway and explore the area

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch

Itinerary : Morning, we will head to Magway and enjoy the scenes in this peaceful town. The great Irrawaddy River and the prominent features of a rural area in Myanmar are the unforgettable things when you come here. Stay overnight in Magway.

Day 4 : Magway – Mt Popa

Activities : Ride to Mt.Popa and enjoy the sightseeing

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch

Itinerary : After a 90-km ride, we will reach Mount Popa, a volcanic mountain near Bagan. There, we will have chances to enjoy the whole view of the area with shrines, palm fields and relaxing in Mt.Popa Resort. Swimming in the pool under the ethereal light of sunset is the perfect choice. Overnight at Mt Popa Mountain Resort.

Day 5 : Mt Popa – Bagan

Activities : Walk to the top of Mt.Popa, move to Bagan

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch

Itinerary : Before heading to Bagan, we will join with the local in a walk to the top of Mt.Popa where you can visit the spiritual shrines and holy nat. When we arrive in Bagan, a heaven of temples will open in front of your eyes as largely as the road flats. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 6 : Bagan – Biking the Temples

Activities : Biking around the plains of Bagan, visit Nyaung Oo Market, AnandaTemple…

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Itinerary : A biking around the plain of temples, Bagan will be the great opening for our journey. Stop at Nyaung Oo Market, and then visit some famous temples like Shwezegon Pagoda and Ananda Temple with unique style.
After lunch, we continue explore the site by biking to other beautiful temples of Bagan till sunset. Overnight in Bagan

Day 7 : Bagan – Myitche – Pakokku – Bagan

Activities : Ride to Myitche, Pakokku, enjoy the site before coming back to Bagan

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch

Itinerary : Cross the waters of the Irrawady to commence the ride to the typical village of Myitche, where few tourists venture. Enjoy a wander around the market and sample local snacks before continuing to Pakokku where lunch will be enjoyed. Relax this afternoon as we cruise back to Bagan on a private boat. We’ve left the afternoon free for more sightseeing, cycling, shopping or relaxing. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 8 : Bagan Departure

Activities : N/A

Meal : Breakfast

Itinerary : This morning is at leisure before transferring to the Nyaung Oo Airport for your onward flight.
